Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens | Boothbay, ME
Nov. 15-Dec. 31, Thursdays through Sundays from 4-9pm (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve) you can enjoy one of New England’s most fabulous holiday light displays featuring more than 650,000 lights. Gardens Aglow is a signature event during Boothbay Festival of Lights. Bundle up as this is an outdoor walking event.
Nov. 23 – Dec. 31, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. (Closed Dec. 25) Visitors of all ages will be dazzled as they stroll through tree-lined paths decorated by thousands of twinkling lights. You can enjoy seeing Stone Zoo’s black bears, Smoky and Bubba, in their festively decorated exhibit. Then wander along the beautifully lit Yukon Creek to see bald eagles, lynx, arctic foxes and reindeer.

December 1-27 5:00-9:00 pm. For those looking for a more religious Christmas light display in New England, the beautiful Christmas display at Fatima Shrine in Holliston, MA, is a great choice. Don your winter gear and enjoy a walking tour featuring lights, candles, and an exquisite nativity.
Mystic’s Holiday Lighted Boat Parade | Historic Downtown Mystic, CT
The holiday season kicks off in New England with Santa Claus’ arrival on a 60’ tugboat on November 24, 2018. Thousands gather at the Mystic River Park to watch Santa arrive at 2 pm on a 60’ tugboat, the John Paul. Spectators fill both sides of the Mystic River to watch the Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade. Admission requires only requires a toy or coat donation to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.
